Acceptable Use and Monitoring Policy
This policy explains how Watchdrift may be used. It applies to every account and every monitoring pack.
Public pages only
Watchdrift may be used to monitor content that is publicly accessible without authentication. The service must not be used to access private accounts, confidential dashboards, paid content, or content that the account holder is not authorized to view.
No bypassing access controls
You may not use Watchdrift to solve CAPTCHAs, evade bot protection, defeat paywalls, spoof location, circumvent firewalls, or otherwise bypass technical or legal access restrictions.
Responsible request rates
Choose intervals that are reasonable for the source. Do not create monitor portfolios designed to overload a site, scrape personal data, or replicate a substantial part of a third-party database.
Legal and contractual compliance
You are responsible for complying with applicable law, privacy rules, intellectual property rights, and the terms of any site you monitor. Watchdrift does not provide legal advice or guarantee that a particular monitoring activity is permitted.
Prohibited content and activity
- Harassment, stalking, or monitoring individuals without a lawful basis.
- Collecting credentials, private personal data, or confidential information.
- Fraud, market manipulation, unlawful discrimination, or rights infringement.
- Attempting to disrupt Watchdrift, bypass account limits, or resell access without authorization.
Enforcement
Accounts may be limited or suspended when activity presents security, legal, operational, or third-party risk. Abuse may also affect eligibility for a refund.
